TapXO Terms of Use

By using TapXO, you agree to use the app lawfully, follow the Community Guidelines, and respect other players.
Community access requires explicit acceptance of the current version of these Terms and the Community Guidelines after applicable family and age checks. Acceptance of an older version expires when the in-app policy version changes.
Service
TapXO provides local games, optional online play, and optional community messaging. Features may change, be rate limited, or be unavailable. Private MLS chat is designed to operate without a central chat database and may use a live stateless ciphertext gateway, multiple Nostr relays, or nearby Bluetooth. The rest of the app—including online games, the public lobby, game coordination, leaderboards, notifications, advertising, analytics, abuse prevention, legacy rooms, and TapXO moderation—may remain server- or database-backed. Delivery is not guaranteed.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for content you send, invite links you share, and communities you own. Do not share illegal or abusive content, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt relays or peers, or use TapXO to harm another person.
Encryption notice
Private encrypted chat is currently a beta pending an independent cryptographic review. You are responsible for comparing safety numbers when identity assurance matters and for protecting your device and invite capabilities. TapXO does not promise anonymity, uninterrupted relay availability, physical cross-platform Bluetooth behavior, or protection from a compromised endpoint. TapXO is not BitChat wire-compatible.
Reports
TapXO does not silently read private-room messages. If you choose Report and confirm the warning, you authorize disclosure of the selected plaintext and evidence to the community owner and a separate TapXO moderation attempt. A pending or unavailable moderation submission is not a promise that TapXO received or acted on the report.
Third-party services
Online play, notifications, analytics, ads, hosting, app distribution, Nostr relays, and device Bluetooth functions may rely on third parties and their terms.
